Late for the hairdresser

Contemplated the arched reflection of the viaduct
and tried again to remember how many bricks it took to build it
(the answer’s seven million, and a half)

    That's a lot of bricks. Mind you, I love brickwork. I like remembering all the different styles, like English garden wall bond, and Flemish bond etc.
    There's a blog post in that, isn't there?
