At this particular point I'd say they'd dropped about six feet. Still high though, but I think we've had less rain than many areas, it's just what's coming down from the Pennines.
It seems to be a winter of rain. The river here runs high and brown, too. And a nice misread: i first read: "Crossing the Trees on the bridge.."
